The end of slavery

1861: Abraham , who was against , became President. Consequently, eleven Southern slave states declared their from the United States and formed the States of America (the Confederacy) and fought against the United States (the Union). This was the beginning of the American War.
1863: Lincoln issued (publia) an Proclamation which proclaimed for slaves within the Confederacy as soon as the Union Army arrived, thus slavery where it still existed.
